How to use the Old Photo Restore tool
- Take a clear picture or scan of the old photo and select it.
- Choose what is wrong with it, such as Fix colour tint or Revive faded, and drag the picture to compare.
- Download the restored photo.
Frequently asked questions
Can it fix a blue or yellow tint?
Yes. Auto restore detects the tint from the photo and removes it. You can fine-tune it with the Blue-Yellow and Green-Magenta sliders.
Does it colourise black and white photos?
No. It cleans and sharpens them, and you can choose Black & white or Sepia. Automatic colourising needs a very large AI model, so it is not included.
Can it repair torn or missing parts?
No. It removes small scratches, dust and grain, but it cannot rebuild torn corners or large damaged areas.
How do I get the best result?
Scan the photo flat, or photograph it in daylight without glare, then use Auto restore. For a small scan, also run AI HD enhance.
